Earn a Masters degree with ABT and the University Scholars program.

The University Scholars Program provides ABT students with a pathway to a Master's degree.  The program allows twelve graduate credit hours to apply to Master's degree and to the undergraduate degree.  The University Scholars Program is currently available to ABT students who wish to pursue a Master's degree in the following disciplines:

Program Description

The Agricultural and Medical Biotechnology degree consists of courses in genetics, biology and chemistry.  Our 4 year plan includes all the required UK Core, pre-major, major and special support courses.

Undergraduate Research

Ag and Medical Biotech students are involved in a variety of undergraduate research projects both at the University of Kentucky and in internships across the U.S.

Education Abroad

Study abroad for a short tour, summer or semester.  Ag Biotech students have had amazing experiences traveling to Tanzania, Ghana, France and Australia.

The application process for the scholarships is adminstrated by the Office of Undergraduate Research at the University of Kentucky through ScholarshipUniverse. Some scholarships of interest are:
